This is a simple page that displays pictures of baseball players, most from baseball cards. Enter a name in the input field and it will search for matching pictures. Name entry is not case-sensitive. The complete last name must be entered. A first name (complete or partial) can be given to narrow the search. For example: "FORSCH" will return both Bob Forsch and Ken Forsch. "R SMITH" will find Reggie Smith and no other Smiths.
The names under the pictures are links to Baseball Reference.
In most browsers you needn't click the "Submit" button, simply hitting enter will do just fine.
The pictures are from Ken Wenger's site. He collected the images for display in Strat-O-Matic software, I think. I included a few years between 1964-1979. I might add more later. The most recent set is from 1979.
The colleciton is not complete, so some names will not return pictures.
Middle names are not handled at the moment.
I put this together because I either couldn't remember or had never heard of many of the players I've been running across while playing tabletop baseball seasons from the 60s-80s.
